Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is the answer to the globalization of our food supply. The premise is simple: create a partnership between local farmers and nearby consumers, who become members or subscribers in support of the farm.

CSA members receive the freshest, healthiest produce throughout the season and keep money, jobs, and farms in their own community.

CSA is about each of us being responsible to our selves, our families, our community and the environment.

The Red Basket Farm is offering two CSA Share subscriptions;

The Family Share - Full Share (Family of 4)

The Individual Share - Half Share (for 1-2 people)

We understand that it is not always possible to commit to a CSA program. You are welcome to visit us at the Farmers Markets we serve or Contact us for special orders that you can pick up on Market days. However, by joining the CSA program in advance Your weekly order is made a priority and you can be assured that you are receiving only first picked produce, early crop and limited crop produce goes to CSA Members first! By making a commitment to us, We will make a commitment to you to supply the healthiest possible foods during the growing season. We have made it quick and easy to begin your "Share the Farm"  subscription.

Choose the subscription that is right for you below.

Consumers and farmers work together on behalf of the Earth and each other. While the farmer is tending the Earth on behalf of others, consumers share the costs of supporting the farm and share the risk of variable harvests (and also share the over-abundance of a particularly fruitful years as well).

Membership in the CSA is based on shares of the harvest. Members are called shareholders and they subscribe or underwrite the harvest for the entire season in advance. The shareholder in turn receives a weekly basket of produce during the growing season.

The "shares" or basket contains your families share of the harvest that is in season at that time of year. The produce is picked fresh and a weekly pick-up date and time is set in advance.

It may take some adjustment to Eating Seasonal rather than just buying what ever you want when you want. However you will quickly realize that buying produce out of season just because it was available, was not always in your families best interest.

Any CSA program carries a certain amount of risk - You are agreeing to share not only the good times but also the bad times with your Farmer. Natural systems are not always predictable or controllable, drought and insect damage can affect a harvest and  may limit your weekly share. All farmers do everything possible to have a successful harvest however it is never without risk.
